Dasara is a 10-day festival to celebrate the victory of goodness over evil. Every year, this festival is celebrated in Mysore, with great zeal and gaiety. But this year it is going to be different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dasara Live is an initiative to celebrate the festival online and also support a great many artists and artisans who are dependent on this event to earn a significant amount of their annual revenue, by providing an online platform to showcase their talents, products and services.
We, the team is all set to celebrate Dasara with a new vigour!!
By adding technology to arts and crafts, in a different flavour!!
Provides an online platform for local artists to showcase their talents and skills through performance art. This will encourage diverse artists from the street corners of small cities of India to use digital platform and thus widen their reach.
Provides an online platform for local artisans to showcase local made, handcrafted goods and services from various parts of India. This will facilitate buyers interested in such artifacts to directly get in touch with the artisans.
A combination of online and offline competitions to bring out the talents and skills of artists. This would energize all in this current situation, especially the kids and add some real excitement.
We have the privilege of being one of the world’s oldest civilizations in the world with a kaleidoscopic cultural heritage. Given our diversity, something that always hold us together is our respect and love for traditions, which may vary from region to region, but has the common essence of love and oneness.
Dasara, a celebration of good over evil, is one of the most distinguished and gleefully celebrated festivals of the Hindus. Through the diverse cultures across our sub-continent, this 10-day festival is celebrated with a display of vibrant tableau, dance, and music.
Excited to know what we all can do together to make this a wonderful celebration?
